Which Industries are not considered for funding?
Any business whose trade or operations may prejudice the reputation and good standing of Bizco Business Consulting or Bizco Investment Network – South Africa
Any business involved in any illegal trade
Any business involved in tobacco, liquor, gambling or the sex trade
Any form of armaments
Any speculative real estate
Any leveraged buy-out funds, hedging, borrowings
Any political organisation
Any persons who are making applications for or are currently under debt review
Any business with directors or members (or equivalent) who are unrehabilitated insolvent individuals
Any technically insolvent businesses
Why seek Angel Investment?
Angel investors can provide guidance and assistance in various ways. Apart from the fact that they can provide the funds you need, can an investor also take further responsibility in your business by taking a seat on your board and possibly assisting in the day-to-day activities or decision making of the business. Almost all investors are experienced people are either currently in business or have been in business for a long time. They will provide guidance and management strategy. An investor might also be able to expand your business and services and have a large network of people who can act as employees, suppliers or service providers.
Can I use the network if I am not in South Africa?
Yes, you can use the network as your business location will be visible to all potential investors. All payments for services and investment is made in South Africa.
What information must I include in my pitch?
We have a structured format which we use and we will guide you, during each step of the process what to include and what to hold back.
Can I upload my Business Plan?
We will be asking you for your business plan during the process once a potential investor has shown interest in your proposal. We suggest getting a business plan and financial projections ready for viewing. If you do not have a business plan we can assist in drafting an investor pack to assist in sourcing investment.
What about confidentiality?
You need to include just enough information in your online proposal to get a potential investor’s interest. Potential sensitive information should be withheld until such time as you are satisfied that you can send the information to the potential investor. We will assist you with the information and ensure no information is provided which can potentially harm your business idea.
How many investors will see my Proposal?
All potential investors have access to all proposals within their chosen industry/category.
How long does it take for my Proposal to be live?
All paid proposals are reviewed and edited within 48 hours during normal business hours, Monday – Friday, 08h00 – 16h30 CAT.
Can pitches be edited after it was published?
Yes, the proposal process is something that takes a long time and your progress can be updated as things change. We will assist you with updating of new/changed information.
Do I pay to have my Proposal published?
Yes, the following fees will be applicable for 30 Days, 60 Days or 90 Days.
30 Days: R395.00
60 Days: R695.00
90 Days: R995.00
Can I extend my Proposal after the expiry date?
Yes, you can extend the proposal for another 90 Days after the expiry date.
